MCB Football Academy shines in FootFive tournament

On Saturday 27th February,  MCB Football Academy (MCBFA) teams won three medals at FootFive indoor tournament. FootFive Mauritius is the first private indoor soccer centre, located in Bagatelle Mall.

In the 8-9 years old category, MCBFA won the silver and bronze medals and also struck bronze among the 11 year-olds.
Our young football players were enthusiastic about the new concept of indoor soccer also known as Futsal .
The other participating teams were: Football First, Racing Club, Baie du Tombeau , Riverland, CSSC, Mangalkhan.

MCB Football Academy is a social integrated project that allows boys and girls aged 6 to 11 years, living in disadvantaged areas, to learn football under the guidance of qualified coaches.
The objective is to ensure that the child develops a “healthy mind in a healthy body”, within a supportive environment in preparation for the future.

To be a part of the MCBFA, it is imperative to attend school. A team consisting of coaches, educators and therapists monitor the sports and academic background of each child, and accompanies each family.
